Confused about having breakfast ot not? worse still confused about what to eat in Breakfast?
Dont worry. We have the answer.
Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. A recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, which followed 2,184 volunteers over 20 years, found regularly skipping your morning meal increases your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Cornflakes provide a quick fix, particularly when your fondness for the snooze button eats into dining time, but they quickly become tedious. The solution? Eggs. Protein-packed and fast to prepare, they set you up perfectly for the day ahead.
Three reasons to choose eggs
1. They’re rich in Vitamin D
A recent review of the nutritional values of eggs found they are a huge supplier of vitamin D, vital for optimising your fat burning potential, as well as protecting your bones and boosting immunity. One egg provides over 20% of your RDA.
2. They’re great for muscle-building
A 2010 study published in the journal Nutrition and Food Science concluded that, among protein foods, eggs contain the richest mix of amino acids, which are crucial for muscle growth and repair.
3. They can help you lose weight
Researchers from the University of Louisiana found eating eggs for breakfast can cut your daily food intake by up to 415 calories. Their study, published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, revealed that the high-quality proteins in eggs boost satiety, curbing your carb enthusiasm later in the day. Each egg contains less than 80 calories.
