    Boxing is a comparatively a more popular combat sport than kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu or even Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).  It is also known to be the toughest and most dangerous form of combat. Besides being part of every competitive global sports games, Boxing has it’s own world Championship series. A boxing fight comprises of a series of three-minute intervals called rounds. There are now a total of up to 12 rounds per fight; previously it used to be up to 15 rounds (Championship fights). The opponents fight for points and the rounds continue till one is knocked out, or one of the two corners throws in the towel or if one fighter does not answer to the bell. The winner can also be declared based on the total of the judges’ scorecards at the end of the boxing match.

    Training for boxing completes MMA training because it helps with footwork, helps speed up reflex and movement, it also helps increase stamina and above all, it is focused on quick, crisp punches combinations. CROSSTRAIN offers classes for boxing twice a week. This helps focus training throughout the week by breaking it up into all the individual forms that go into making a great combat fighter for MMA.
